While we use tigers as a symbol for strength and power, the real big cats are nearly powerless to the many dangers that threaten their populations.
The way we recommend supporting is through Panthera.org
Panthera works with a team of biologists to create and continually develop programs protecting the seven species of big cats and their habitats. They have also created numerous conservation and research initiatives for the 33 other types of wild cats through their Small Cats Program.
Why focus on big cats? This is what their website has to say:
"The presence of wild cats — our landscape guardians — indicate healthy, intact ecosystems that support all life, including people around the world."
Notice: Mute is not partnered with Panthera in any way.
